The SS UNS S31600 coils also offer high creep during elevated temperatures. Due to their particularly high corrosion resistance against Chlorinated solutions and Chlorides, the SS 316 coils are known as Marine Grade Stainless steel.
The SS DIN 1.4401 coils are also corrosive against potable water with up to about 1000 mg/L chlorides at ambient temperatures. SS 316 coils we produce also have excellent inter-granular corrosion resistance.
This Staining is particularly because of crevices and rough surface finish. The SS DIN 1.4401 sheets mostly offer oxidation resistance up to 870 °C in intermittent use and 925 °C in continuous service.
