AISI 309S stainless steel bar is a free-cutting stainless steel containing sulfur, used in applications where free-cutting and high surface finish are mainly required. AISI 309S stainless steel bar is a lower carbon variant of 309 stainless steel used where welding is required. AISI 309S stainless steel bar can withstand repeated heating below 980 °C, and has high high temperature strength, oxidation resistance and carburization resistance. It is suitable for strong oxidizing corrosion environment.
